I was sitting around, looking for something to listen to. I have an
Rdio subscription so I went and looked at suggestions. Nothing sounded
like what I wanted to hear, then I thought, Ringo Starr sounds like a
good idea.
Since most of his early catalog is not available, I ended up listening to a Storytellers recording from 1998.
I
was shocked by how good it was. It was a high quality recording. The
musicianship was exceptional, to the point I ended up going online to
find out who was playing in the concert. Joe Walsh was on guitar, and
Jack Blades was on bass. Yes, that Jack Blades from Night Ranger and
Damn Yankees. I enjoyed it enough that I ended up listening to the
whole album.
